About Tota

I always have the necessity to do things differently, I don’t know what it is, but if everybody goes one way I’m convinced that I should try the other way, just to live the experience and come back and tell the story.

I live in GΓΆteborg, Sweden with my husband and my cat. I love banana-bread, travelling and rainy days.

I work with computer programming, which is much more fun than it sounds. Besides computers and games, my hobbies are writing, reading, traveling and snuggling with my cat.

How did you create your Castle Keep. I saw that you downloaded the world, but how did you create the families in the Medieval style? Is it in an expansion?

    Thanks!

    • I created the families in CAS with the base game and expansions, no Medieval expansion and no custom content. Although I used the “unlockOutfits on/off” cheat to unlock all the hidden outfits (there are a couple of medieval outfits that come with the time machine).

Otherwise I just customized the style of the clothes to get a more medieval feel, for example by using different shades of brown and greens in the more dull shades πŸ˜€ I also used a lot of the rough fabric and leather patterns that come with the game.

I’m thinking I might put up my families for download on my page πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Tota,
I am completely in awe of you, you writing and your blog. Everything from the way you write about Castle Keep to the visuals of the kingdom are simply breathtaking and I just wanted you to know that! I hope you keep up your writing – you have a very special talent! I only came onto your site as I was looking for inspiration for my own Sims 3 Royal Kingdom Challenge and am very glad I did.

Much love and support from Australia,
    Georgia xxx

    • Hey,
thank you for your kind words, so kind.
I’d love to read your RKC story πŸ™‚

I’ve been having technical problems with sims, so until I fix them, I wont be able to write any more 😦 I think I need to reinstall Windows. Wish me luck

  3. You’re very welcome! Hahaha it’s still a progress in the works, I’m afraid πŸ˜€
Oh that’s unfortunate – best of luck! xxx

  4. Oh I love your blog, the different families, how you describe them. I recognise at least one from the game, the Hemlocks (not sure how to write, the vampire one). I didnt have the time to read everything yet but, believe me, I’m going to.
(btw. I “liked” it and I’m following too)

    • Thank you, I’m so glad you liked it.
Yes, I decided I needed some vampires so I did a make-over to the Hemlocks and moved them in to the town πŸ™‚

  7. Ow wow, I’ve just discovered your story and read the Royal Kingdom Challenge rules, how fantastic! I can’t wait to jump in and start reading, I just need to find some time to get caught up! πŸ˜‰
